Dear Friend of Forestry,

The Maryland Forests Association's (MFA) 2007 Western Maryland Loggers and Forestry Field Day and Equipment Show is fast approaching and we need your help. This is the 11th time this event will be held in Western Maryland. The Field Days remains the only event in Maryland to shine a much-needed, positive light on forestry and the forest products industry through a variety of commercial and educational exhibits and presentations. The Field Days will be held at the Garrett County Fairgrounds in McHenry, June 8 & 9.

We need sponsors to financially support some of the special events planned for this year. We have brought back from the previous shows the Mid-Atlantic Area's original Skidder Pull Competition. This crowd-pleasing event is quite costly to operate as well as to fund the prize packages for and will total more than $5,000.

We are asking that you consider becoming a sponsor to this year's Logger and Forestry Field Day and Equipment Show. Net proceeds from this event help to fund MFA's other educational and outreach efforts. By choosing to participate in this year's event you are getting involved in the future of forestry.

We are offering sponsors recognition in the event directory by placing ads. This directory wa a new venture in 2005 and was very well received. The directory will be a 4x9" booklet that will serve as the event program and souvenir to be given to each ticket holder. Commercial Exhibitors who wish to place an ad in the directory will receive a 20% discount on ads. The deadline for ads will be May 11, 2007. Sponsor levels are as follows:
