Staying GREEN in a RED Economy focus of 2009 Annual Conference
|
This year's Annual Conference was focused on the most timely and
personal of topics ~ Staying Green in a Red Economy.
In this time of economic uncertainty, where change sometimes happens
before the ink is dry on the latest report, we continue to live and work
with a natural resource that has been around forever. In contrast with
24-hour news cycles and market reports that fluctuate with every
breath, we deal with a resource having components with life cycles
measured in years, decades and even centuries.
As faithful stewards of this resource, many of you have been Green
before Green was the thing to be! During this conference we looked at
the evolution of the conservation movement from many different
perspectives and then looked to the future and discussed what we have
learned and where we go from here.
Our thanks to the sponsors, exhibitors, speakers, volunteers and staff
that made this event such a success.
